Episode 349 will feature writer Tom King as we discuss his work on Vertigo’s Time Warp, his book “A Once Crowded Sky” and more. Jim and Sean will also do a Speeding Bullets look at Action Comics, the aftermath with Damien in various Bat Titles, the event of Batgirl 19 and more.

Episode 350 is our anniversary show on Frank Miller’s Batman which will continue into Episode 351. We have some big things planned for upcoming shows!

Jim and I are recording the Raging Oscars show on Thursday or Friday. We are wrapping up a major rereading of New 52 material across the line to make this a comprehensive anniversary show. Depending on when we are able to record, the show will be up Friday or Saturday. We are looking forward to celebrating 7 years of the podcast with this release that looks over the line and gives us a chance to discuss where we would like it to go from here.

I just wanted to thank everyone for 7 years of support. Raging Bullets started 7 years ago today with an experiment to see what titles would bring a non reader into comics. It turned quickly into a love for talking about what is great about comics!

From the first recording to today, we’ve been very fortunate to have gained an audience base of terrific friends. I just wanted to take this time to thank everyone who has ever listened to our show on any level, been a guest, posted something about the show, and really has supported us on any level. We never thought we would still be doing this after 7 years but we are thrilled that we are fortunate to have such an amazing support base.

Our celebration will be happening on two levels.

1) Episode 346 is our next recording. It’ll be this year’s version of the Raging Oscars. We have been working the past few weeks to take a line by line look at DC’s New 52. We hope this will feel like a solid comprehensive overview on our thoughts and feelings so far.

2) Episode 350 will be a look at the work of Frank Miller and will focus on Batman Year One, Dark Knight Returns, and Dark Knight Strikes Again. We might casually talk about All Star Batman and Robin depending on time but we did cover it in the past on the show so we want to focus heavily on the 2 stories mentioned here as they are new to the podcast. We will also look at the animated features spinning off these stories. I am anticipating this being a two parter.

We also have a special bonus segment where we are joined by Jim’s niece Cassie Segulin, as we discuss her love of Batgirl, Death of the Family, and the classic Killing Joke.

Note: The discussion with Cassie was recorded prior to the ending of Death of the Family.

I was up most of the night working on episode 345. I had a bizarre issue where portions of the audio were lost in the “working” copy so I had to go back to the original and reedit it. Thank goodness I keep original recordings now.

It is finished. I just have to adjust the bit rate and add tags and such. It will be up early this evening. It came out great. I apologize for the delay. I had to basically do it twice. I hope you enjoy it. It was a fun recording.
